Scope and Acceptance

This policy applies to all Virtual Private Server (VPS) products supplied by Kalfaoğlu Internet Servisleri (kalfaoglu.net), including servers provisioned on Hetzner Cloud infrastructure. It applies to the customer named on the account and to anyone the customer permits to access or manage the server. Placing an order constitutes acceptance of this policy in full, in addition to any general terms of service.

Acceptable Use

The VPS may be used for lawful purposes, including:

• Hosting websites, web applications, and APIs
• Software development, testing, and staging environments
• Personal or business file storage and backups
• Outbound email in line with the Network and Port Policy below
• Any other legal use that does not degrade shared infrastructure or violate this policy

Prohibited Activities

The following are strictly prohibited on any VPS, regardless of intent, and may result in immediate suspension:

• Sending unsolicited bulk email (spam) or operating an open mail relay
• Port scanning, network intrusion attempts, or unauthorized access to other systems
• Launching or participating in denial-of-service (DoS/DDoS) attacks
• Hosting malware, command-and-control infrastructure, or phishing pages
• Hosting or distributing illegal content, including content that infringes copyright or other intellectual property rights
• Hosting content that violates Turkish or German laws
• Using the server to attack, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to any third-party system or network
• Any activity that causes the server, network, or upstream provider (Hetzner) to be flagged, blacklisted, or reported for abuse
• Operating a public or open proxy service, reselling access to the server to third parties, or running a Tor exit relay, without prior written approval (a personal VPN used for your own traffic only is not restricted by this policy)

Network and Port Policy

Outbound TCP port 25 (SMTP) is blocked by default on every new VPS to prevent spam-relay abuse, one of the most common sources of abuse complaints and upstream account risk. This applies from the moment the server is provisioned.

Customers who need to send outbound mail should either:

• Use an authenticated third-party relay (e.g. a transactional email provider) on a non-blocked port such as 587, or
• Request that port 25 be unblocked for their server

Unblock requests require identity verification and are reviewed case by case. Unblocking is not automatic and may be declined or reversed if the server is later linked to spam or abuse.

Other ports may be restricted on a case-by-case basis where a server is found to be the source of abuse (e.g. scanning, DDoS traffic, brute-force login attempts).

Abuse Reports and Response

Abuse complaints (from Hetzner, a third party, or automated monitoring) are forwarded to the email address on the customer's account. The customer must respond and remediate within 24 hours of notification.

Failure to respond, or repeated abuse from the same server, will result in suspension of the server. Severe or ongoing abuse (active attacks, malware distribution, illegal content) may be suspended immediately without prior notice, since unresolved abuse puts the provider's entire upstream account at risk, not just the individual server.

Suspension and Termination

The provider may suspend or terminate a VPS for: violation of this policy, non-payment, or any activity that exposes the provider's account with its upstream infrastructure provider to risk.

Where the violation is not severe, the customer will be given notice and a chance to remediate before suspension. Where the violation is severe (active attacks, malware, illegal content), the server may be suspended or terminated immediately without notice.

Fees already paid, including setup fees, are non-refundable on suspension or termination for policy violation. Data on a terminated server may be deleted without further notice once the termination takes effect; customers are responsible for maintaining their own backups.
